Unpacking and Packing up Fizzy

  • Unzip Bag

    Label has extra information from the manufacturer.

  • Keep Equipment and Costume separate in compartments.

    When packing make sure Fizzy feet are down and Viewing window is flat on top.

  • Pack Batteries and Charger on bottom layer.

    You will only need the charger for events longer than 4 hours. Charge one battery while other is used.

Dressing up as Fizzy

Backpack Fan is about 5.5 lbs. Battery Belt is about 8 lbs.

  • Get a chair and lay Fizzy out in front with Zipper open and access to the Legs.

    Place Fizzy feet on the floor in proper orientation so you’ll be able to step into them.

  • Slide your legs into the Fizzy legs so your feet go all the way down.

  • Reach down into the feet and feel for the Ankle and Foot Straps

    Velcro the straps around your ankle, and over your foot to lock your foot to Fizzy’s foot.

  • Make sure your heal is pressed tight against the base of the Ankle Strap. And both Straps are tight so you have the best range of motion.

  • Put on Battery Belt. Snap Buckle in front, with Battery in back.

    Use “Battery A” first at each event.

  • Put on Fan Backpack.

    Connect straps across your chest. Then connect hanging clips to Battery Belt loops.

  • Connect Fan Hose to Fizzy Vent Hole

    Align the white velcro hose square with the white velcro vent square so the holes line up.

  • Connect the Battery connector wire to the Fan connector wire

    You can loop one of the wires through the battery belt so it isn’t flapping as much when you are inside.

  • Zip yourself up inside of Fizzy

    Zip up fizzy and allow the costume to fully inflate before interacting with anybody. Intake will be slow if the costume is folded over the Vent hole. Try to keep the Vent hole clear while inflating and performing.

  • Your ready to be FIZZY

Notes to Remember

Fizzy is a Fun, Bubbly, Goofy, Cartoon character.

Dancing, charades and general bouncy movement are your best friend.

You can make a lot of body movement with low energy by gripping the arm pits and bouncing the character around. Twisting for “Head” shaking. Bouncing to show joy. Fizzy is a big character so you need to make exaggerated arm movements to really come through in Fizzy.

Try to acknowledge and give a wave, high-five, or pound to everybody you see.

If a child or person seems scared of you, you can act timid with slower movements to try and gain their trust for a Wave, High-Five or Pound, but don’t try to force anybody to get over their fears. Move away if you see they really aren’t enjoying your presence.

Fizzy has no voice. Please don’t give Fizzy one. While performing you should only verbally communicate quietly to a co-worker away from others ears.
If kids or people ask if you can talk just give a shrugging hand/arm gesture. Or shake your “head” body No.

If there is no DJ or music at the event you may listen to music through an earbud as long as you are able to hear people outside.
TIP : Wear a headband or bandana with wired earbuds hanging down loose from your ears.

Take photos with anyone who wants one. Fizzy is big and human arms are short.If a person is going for a Selfie it is best to try and take a step or two back from the person so you can be seen in the frame as a character and not a backdrop. You can usually see the frame up of the selfie to adjust yourself in frame for them.
Try to get at least one hand “waving” in the photo to showcase that you are a character.
